Elite Ballet Training for Every Stage of Growth

The Frederick Quinney Lawson Ballet West Academy is the official school of Ballet West and Utah’s premier destination for ballet instruction. With campuses in Salt Lake City, Park City, and Utah County, the Academy welcomes dancers of all levels—from preschoolers taking their first steps in ballet to teens preparing for professional careers.

The Beginning & Elementary Division nurtures young dancers (ages 3–9) with age-appropriate instruction that builds coordination, musicality, and joy in movement.

The Student Division (ages 9+) offers rigorous training through Ballet Levels 1–8, with placement by audition. Students refine their technique and performance through year-round classes, seasonal showcases, and summer intensives.

The Professional Training Division is designed for advanced dancers (ages 14+) who are preparing for professional opportunities. Entry is by audition or invitation, with many students progressing to Ballet West’s Trainee program.

The Academy also hosts one of the nation’s top Summer Intensives, drawing elite faculty and dancers from around the world, and offers Adult Classes for learners at every stage—including absolute beginners.
