Bridges Leadership Academy – A Family-Centered Approach to Leadership Education
Bridges Leadership Academy is a principle-based, family-style educational community dedicated to inspiring strong leadership, healing relationships, and uniting families. Meeting weekly from September through April at St. Anna’s Greek Orthodox Church in Sandy, Utah, Bridges offers classes designed for both children and their parents—because meaningful education starts at home and thrives in community.
Our approach is rooted in the educational philosophy of A Thomas Jefferson Education by Oliver DeMille. We focus on building deep relationships, teaching to the whole person, and grounding every class in timeless principles. Bridges is more than a school—it’s a leadership commonwealth where each parent and child learns together and grows together.
At Bridges, every adult member is required to read A Thomas Jefferson Education before registering. This foundational text outlines the seven keys of great teaching and defines the kind of transformational learning experience we strive to offer. Parents are also encouraged to explore Hero Education and the How to Mentor series to deepen their leadership and mentoring abilities.
Our goal is to affirm the worth and potential of every individual so clearly that they come to see it in themselves. We believe real leadership begins with connection, and that “you can’t parent a child whose heart you don’t have.” That’s why we foster an “Attachment Village” of like-minded families who support one another in raising principled, confident leaders for the 21st century.
