Carry On: Building Mental Resilience Through Skateboard Coaching
Carry On is redefining how youth approach mental wellness—by combining the excitement of skateboarding with the power of mental resilience coaching. Our unique, research-informed programs are designed to help kids and teens develop confidence, emotional awareness, and real-world coping skills, all while learning to skateboard in a fun and supportive environment.
Through our structured 8-week programs, like the upcoming Fall 2 Session (October 20 – December 19, 2025) in Provo and South Jordan, participants receive professional skateboard instruction while being coached on key mental health tools. These include recognizing negative thought patterns, building emotional regulation skills, and learning how to persevere through challenges—both on and off the board.
Our impact speaks for itself. In recent surveys: 88% of parents reported increased confidence in their children.
83% said the resilience skills taught were applied outside of skateboarding. 92% noticed greater awareness of negative thinking. 100% said they would recommend Carry On to friends and family.
Carry On programs are intentionally designed for both new and experienced skateboarders, with sessions tailored to fast-paced and slow-paced learners. We also offer open skate times and private facility rentals for birthday parties, church groups, and other events.
At the heart of Carry On is our belief that early, positive engagement with mental health tools can prevent long-term struggles. Skateboarding becomes more than just a sport—it becomes a vehicle for growth, connection, and lasting self-belief.
In addition to participating in our programs, you can support Carry On’s mission by donating. Your contributions help us keep programs affordable and accessible, so more youth can benefit from our preventative mental health approach.
