Down To Earth Nature School – Providing Meaningful Outdoor Experiences
Down to Earth Nature School is a place where children grow through hands-on outdoor experiences that inspire wonder, creativity, and a lasting connection with the earth. Located in Cottonwood Heights, Utah, we offer immersive weekly and monthly programs, as well as seasonal camps designed to nurture a deep relationship between children and the natural world.
Our mission is simple yet powerful: to provide meaningful outdoor experiences so that children—and nature—can thrive. Rooted in our three pillars of Education, Connection, and Action, our curriculum is guided by inquiry, grounded in ecological literacy, and built on mutual respect between kids, communities, and ecosystems.
Children at Down to Earth spend their days hiking, building shelters, identifying local flora and fauna, engaging in nature-based crafts, and learning survival skills—all while developing teamwork, confidence, and emotional resilience.
Families consistently share how transformative the experience is. It’s not just play—it’s purpose-driven, nature-rich education that empowers the next generation of environmental stewards.
Down to Earth is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Donations help us expand access and keep nature education alive and thriving in our community.
