The DCU Difference – Empowering Confident Readers for Life
At the Dyslexia Center of Utah (DCU), we believe every child deserves the opportunity to succeed. For over 25 years, we’ve helped students with dyslexia and other learning differences become confident, independent readers through innovative, evidence-based instruction.
Our specialized tutoring program is grounded in the Orton-Gillingham approach, delivered through our exclusive Magic of Reading (MOR) curriculum and the Whizzimo platform. This structured, multi-sensory method has a proven track record of success and is designed to meet the unique needs of each learner.
DCU tutors are highly trained and certified through our IACET-accredited program, ensuring the highest level of instruction and support. We provide both in-person and online tutoring, allowing us to serve students across Utah—and around the world.
Our vision is to empower students with learning differences to thrive academically and personally. By partnering with families, educators, and the community, we aim to break down barriers and help every student unlock their full potential.
Dyslexia affects 1 in 5 individuals, and early, effective intervention can change the trajectory of a child’s life. Research shows that 74% of poor third-grade readers remain poor readers in ninth grade—but it doesn’t have to be that way.
