About Farm School Utah
At Farm School Utah, we believe children thrive when they can explore, discover, and learn through real-world experiences. Located on a historic family farm in Pleasant Grove, our program offers hands-on outdoor education that inspires curiosity, responsibility, and a deep connection to nature. Children engage directly with plants, animals, and the rhythms of farm life while learning essential lessons rooted in science, social studies, and physical education.
Farm School is designed for elementary-aged students and integrates Utah Core State Standards into immersive, seasonal activities. From making beeswax chapstick to understanding soil cycles and spinning natural fibers, each session blends fun, purpose, and discovery. Our farm animals provide gentle opportunities to learn caretaking skills and understand the role animals play in agriculture.
Held in both spring and fall semesters, Farm School offers a 10-class series that fosters a love of learning, community, and stewardship. Classes are hosted on our multi-generational family farm—Schow’s Ranchette—home to a rich agricultural legacy dating back to 1896.
Whether exploring sunflower anatomy, baking fresh bread from scratch, or riding horses, Farm School Utah offers a joyful, memorable way to learn. We’re a Harmony and Children First approved vendor, and we welcome all who are ready to get their hands a little dirty and their minds deeply engaged.
