First Tee Utah — Building Character & Confidence Through Golf

First Tee Utah is a youth development organization that uses the game of golf to teach life lessons, leadership, and character. With a mission to “Build Game Changers,” First Tee goes beyond sports instruction, combining golf skills with a curriculum that strengthens resilience, integrity, and confidence. By creating active, hands-on learning experiences, the program equips kids to face challenges both on and off the course.

Programs are offered across numerous golf courses and venues statewide, including locations such as Soldier Hollow, Mulligans, Rose Park, Copper Rock, and Topgolf Midvale. These classes and leagues are designed for all ages and abilities, from beginners discovering the basics to teens refining advanced skills. Kids learn not only the fundamentals of golf—swing, short game, putting, and course etiquette—but also key values like perseverance, teamwork, and responsibility. 

First Tee Utah also provides unique growth opportunities through scholarships, leadership programs, and national events that connect participants with mentors and peers nationwide. Seasonal events like the First Tee Utah Classic, Ace Frenzy, and Ladies on the Links offer competitive and social outlets that build community while supporting the nonprofit’s mission.
