Extended Meta/About Description (300 words):

Lighthouse Commonwealth of Iron County is a family-centered educational community in Cedar City, Utah, inspired by the principles of Thomas Jefferson Education. We provide leadership-based, mentor-led classes for students of all ages—from toddlers to self-directed scholars—fostering a lifelong love of learning, liberty, and personal mission.

Our Junior Program includes engaging, hands-on classes like Shooting Stars, Navigators, Liberty Girls, and Knights of Freedom for children ages 0–11. Through literature, art, music, nature studies, and cultural exploration, young learners build character, creativity, and curiosity.

For scholars age 11+, we offer a wide range of transformative classes rooted in classic literature, history, and leadership development. From “Shield of Freedom” and “Atlas: The Journey Begins” to advanced LEMI projects like “Sword & Hero” and “Quest,” students dive into topics such as U.S. history, world cultures, the Constitution, economics, and statesmanship. Our Shakespeare class allows youth to engage with timeless works and perform live on stage, building confidence, communication, and teamwork.

Afternoon electives such as “Wealth: A Wise and Faithful Steward” and “Leadership, Current Events, and Debate” challenge older students to think critically and lead purposefully in today’s complex world.

Lighthouse is more than a homeschool co-op—it is a community united by vision and purpose. Our mission is to mentor the next generation of leaders who understand their roles in preserving freedom, seeking truth, and serving their communities with integrity and wisdom.

Join us in 2025–26 as we explore the world through meaningful learning, friendship, and growth.
