Mountainland Technical College (MTECH) is a public technical college based in Lehi, Utah, with additional campuses in Orem, Spanish Fork, Provo, and instructional centers in Heber, plus a Payson campus opening in August 2025. MTECH exists to “enhance the employability of individuals through market-driven career and technical education”—meaning students graduate equipped with relevant skills that local employers expect.
With nearly 40 hands-on, industry-aligned programs, MTECH spans a broad spectrum of trades and emerging fields. Its offerings include electrical and plumbing apprenticeships, automotive and welding trades (via its Clyde School of Trades), healthcare pathways such as nursing, phlebotomy, and medical assisting, cosmetology and culinary skills, as well as technology programs covering digital marketing, web development, software QA, and more.
MTECH serves both adult learners and high school students through dual-enrollment and credit-transfer agreements. High school students may attend tuition-free (paying only fees) while earning credits transferable to higher education institutions. The college emphasizes affordability, flexible scheduling—including day, evening, and online options—rapid program completion (usually 6–12 months), and strong employer partnerships that boost job placement.
MTECH is also an active partner in Utah’s education ecosystem through the K-16 Alliance, coordinating closely with Utah Valley University and local school districts to streamline student pathways toward transfers or employment.
Through accessible campuses, urgent workforce training, and robust community ties, MTECH empowers learners—both youth and adults—to step directly into meaningful careers or keep climbing the education ladder.
